Acceptable use policy

Simple rules for a respectful, secure and lawful cinema.

Updated 12 October 2026Draft · operator details pending

This is a draft based on the site’s current features. The operator’s legal identity and jurisdiction still need to be confirmed before these documents are treated as final policies.

Use the service responsibly

Use only accounts, profiles and administrator tools you are authorized to access. Keep passwords, passkeys, authenticator secrets and recovery codes private. Account approval does not transfer ownership of the service or its content.

Respect content rights

Upload, import or distribute a file only when you have the necessary permission. Check the license, attribution requirements, permitted territories and any restrictions on commercial use or modification. Public-domain status can differ between countries. A file being available online does not automatically make it free to redistribute.

Keep source credits and license information with catalog entries. Do not remove attribution, misrepresent ownership or use remote-download and encoding tools to obtain content unlawfully.

Protect people and the platform

Do not upload malware, illegal material, content that exploits children, or material that unlawfully invades someone’s privacy. Do not harass people, impersonate others or send abusive or fraudulent support requests.

Do not bypass approval, age-rating or country-access controls, steal session tokens, share administrator credentials, probe systems without authorization or interfere with storage and encoding workers.

Use shared resources fairly

Avoid automated scraping, spam, excessive requests and deliberate exhaustion of bandwidth, storage or encoder capacity. Administrators may limit downloads, file sizes, concurrent work or account access to keep the service usable. Do not submit passwords or private keys through the public Contact form.

Report a concern

Use Contact for suspected account compromise, prohibited content or a rights complaint. For a content-rights report, identify the title or URL, explain your relationship to the work and provide a way to verify the claim. Do not send unnecessary sensitive documents in the initial message.

How concerns are handled

Administrators may investigate a report, restrict a file, pause an account or remove material when justified by the evidence or applicable law. Where practical, the affected person should receive an explanation and a route to ask for review. These rules do not override rights provided by applicable law.
